Vancouver Asian Film Festival

"All our films are in English and they are really meant for everyone, not just for Asian folks that come out, but for anyone who loves film," Vancouver Asian Film Festival executive director Don Montgomery said in an interview. "Come out make it an evening, then come join us after the film for a great party."

John Cho of Harold and Kumar fame and Vancouver actor Grace Park star in West 32nd, a dark drama about an ambitious young lawyer who takes on a case to exonerate a 14-year-old boy from a first-degree murder charge, and finds himself involved in the Korean gangster underworld.

San Diego Asian Film Festival

This festival just started today. It's going on at the same time as the Hawaii International Film Festival, which my brother is attending right now. Lucky guy! I'd choose Hawaii over San Diego any day. The Director of "The People I've Slept With" is probably in San Diego right now promoting the film.

Hawaii International Film Festival

"The People I Slept With" is showing at this film festival as well as the San Diego Asian Film Festival. Check out their movie lineup. If you happen to be vacationing in Hawaii, please go see a few interesting flicks.

"Catfish in Black Bean Sauce"

This is my brother's first movie. He was only "Assistant Producer" but I'm sure it was a great learning experience for him. Out of all the movies that he played a big role in, this is definitely my favorite. It actually made to DVD too!

Interview with a young actress

I met her at a small music video film festival a few months ago. She had a small role in "Better Luck Tomorrow," a controversial movie that my brother's friend directed a few years ago. Now she's the leading actress in my brother's next movie.
